Running Disciplines

Road Running

As an England Athletics Affiliated Club. The club competes regularly as a team in road races throughout the year in the North West, Northern and National Road Relays enabling runners from all age groups take part in these competitive yet inclusive events.

The senior men and ladies compete in the Borders Road Race League from autumn to spring, an exclusive regional road racing league comprising 14 running clubs from across the Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales with 300-400 runners in each events and most of all the Border League is free for all Club Members aged 15+.

Club members also compete as individuals in many road races available locally and beyond from distances ranging from 5K to marathon with members frequently travelling and attending races together drawing on the experiences of other club members to achieve their goals including the London Marathon. We undertake an annual summer league and annual winter league comprising some the best locally available midweek and weekend events.

Cross Country, Multi-terrain and Fell Running

Cross Country

In the winter season the club competes in the Liverpool and District & Manchester Area Cross Country Leagues along side the Merseyside XC, Northern and National XC Championships accessible to all club members.

Multi-terrain

Club members enjoy competing in locally organinsed multi-terrain events around the Wirral including the Wirral Multi-Terrain League during the Month of September

Fell Running

The club is affiliated for fell running and members can represent the club in licenced by the Fell Running Association as affiliated competitors. Members compete in races in the hills and mountains of North-East Wales and the Peak District and occasionally further afield to The Lake District and Snowdonia.
